Location

O Ninho do Rei is located right next to the watertower of the vilage of Lagoa Cimeira which lies in the parish of Fundada, a ten minute drive away from the geographical centre of Portugal, close to Vila de Rei. The geographical centre is a very nice spot to visit for a stunning view of the area and a visit to the museum.

Guesthouse O Ninho Do Rei in Central Portugal is a perfect getaway for those who seek some peace and tranquility. This small estate is located less then a ten minute drive from the river Zêzere where you can go swimming or kayaking, even wakeboarding belongs to the possibilities.The river Zêzere is surrounded by forest and hills. Along the river Zêzere there are many river beaches where you can relax, most of them have a small bar or restaurant for refreshments. The surrounding area has many hiking tracks. Some are easy and some more for the advanced hiker among us.

In the area there a lots of places to visit. There are several historic towns which you can visit for their beautiful castles, churches or ancients centres.

Altough Portugal has perfect public transport possibilities we advise our guests to rent a car whenever they visit Portugal. Most services like supermarkets, bars and restaurants are not within walking distance if you are not in a city. If you want to explore the area renting a car is highly recommended.
